Client Relations/Contract Specialist
Hours: 40+ hours/week, Non-exempt
Compensation: Competitive compensation and benefits
Primary functions:
- Implementation of contracts, activation programs, sales, promotions, and communications.
- Oversight of P&L as well as revenue forecasting by means of research and analysis.
- Primary support for the Strategic Alliances sales team.
Duties:
- Coordinate sales transactions from contract through activation, ensuring a turnkey experience for clients and staff.
- Works closely with sales team, clients, properties and legal counsel to draft, negotiate, execute and fulfill all contracts. Primary point of contact for legal counsel.
- Liaison between agency, brand and property clients for experiential marketing programs and sponsorships. Provide counsel to clients regarding contracts, procedures, logistics and other information as needed.
- Develop business metrics and systems for use by the sales team and distribution to clients and company management. Administrate Salesforce.com CRM system.
- Oversee cash flow, revenue and expense budgets, A/P, A/R, general ledgers and income statements with Accounting Department
- Develop and implement sales and business strategies by means of research and analysis of best practices, industry trends and historical data.
- Manage CPMG brand identity and equity via design, creation and implementation of cohesive collateral including proposals, digital media, mailings and advertisements.
- Office management duties including purchasing materials, assisting with travel arrangements, scheduling and taking minutes for meetings and general IT support.
- Solicit, hire and supervise CPMG intern staff.
- Assists with department events.
- Assists with a variety of tasks as requested by Director of Sales and other members of the Strategic Alliances sales team.
- Works on additional projects as assigned.
Education/Experience:
- 3-5 years experience in Sales and/or Accounting field.
- Previous experience in a Sales Administration or Accounting role.
- Completion of a BA Degree in Communications or relevant work experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce.com CRM.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and web design/HTML preferred.
- Strong command of the English language and excellent verbal/phone and written communication skills.
Special Requirements:
- Work well under pressure and deadline commitments and have proven history of ability to work on several projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a contributing member of a team.
- Priority focused.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, on an as-needed basis.
Intern, Strategic Alliances
Hours: 25-40 hours/week; 12 weeks to 1 year program
Compensation: Unpaid
What you'll do:
- Work with the Sales team on researching, prospecting, tracking, contracting and invoicing sales efforts on behalf of CPMG’s represented properties
- Assist with contact database maintenance, recording of minutes and/or meeting/conference call notes, booking of travel and conferences, etc.
- Coordinate logistics for promotions events such as permits, contracts, payments and other details as needed
- Ability to assist with design and production of collateral materials
- Opportunity to attend networking events and meet business contacts
What you'll learn:
- Gain experience in dealing with a variety of businesses and entities
- Learn about structures of businesses and how marketing works through researching prospects and leads
- Attain hands-on experience from coordination of promotional events about how business transactions are made from initial call to quote to contract to execution
- Improve communication and language skills through daily business interactions
- Includes: business writing (e-mail, letters, proposals), informal communication (internal meetings, instant messages), formal communication (conference calls with clients)
- Writing will be reviewed by a supervisor and corrections provided to encourage active learning and hands-on experience with communication
